New Star Wars Remaster Outperforms Battlefront Classic Collection but Fails to Attract Crowds
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter finally made it to PC and was received better than Battlefront Classic Collection. Mainly, because of the lack of (broken) multiplayer.

the classic Battlefront series collection. At least if you look at the ratings, because the number of people playing this game isn't impressive.
The game, originally released in 2002, had the opportunity to be available to PlayStation 4 owners in 2016, but it was nearly identical to the original edition. The remaster released yesterday also doesn't exaggerate with the modernization of the game, although it slightly improves the visual settings and introduces a handful of contemporary improvements.
Apparently, this was enough for the title to be received better than Aspyr's previous remaster - Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection. Although Bounty Hunter was rated by incomparably fewer people, 90% of opinions on Steam are positive. For comparison: the mentioned collection has 80% negative reviews.
Of course, we must take into not only the huge difference in the number of reviews (less than 200 for BC and almost 7,500 for Battlefront collections) but also the reason for the criticism of the older remasters. The poorly functioning multiplayer mode was the main source of negative towards the collection, although it wasn't the only reason. This was mainly due to the modest number of servers and an error that prevented the creation of private sessions.
Meanwhile, Bounty Hunter doesn't have a multiplayer mode, similar to the Dark Forces remaster released before the "collection." This second title, released by another company (Nightdive Studios), was also received much better than the Battlefront Classic Collection.
However, in both instances, this didn't result in interest in the title. 633 people in the game is a decent result, but it won't blow anyone away, even in comparison to Battlefront Classic Collection, which significantly limited the initial problems with the servers. Currently, the number of players in this second position rarely exceeds 100, even during daily peak times.
It's worth noting that this is by no means a flawless remaster (or rather port; because this is the first time Bounty Hunter is available on PC). Some players claim that the new version introduces errors not present in the original, and also lacks the option to change controls.
Additionally, gamers with GeForce RTX 4000 series graphics cards recommend turning off ambient occlusion, which for some reason significantly worsens performance. It's also worth making sure that the game isn't using the integrated graphics card of the processor instead of the dedicated GPU system.
