All this data comes from analytics group Sensor Tower. According to it between June 10 and 20 Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds was the second highest-grossing mobile game in the world. It was only bested by Honor of Kings, which brought in $102.3 million in revenue during the same 11 days.
During the aforementioned period Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds was the highest earning mobile RPG. In second place was taken by Uma Musume: Pretty Derby with $36 million, followed by Fate/Grand Order in third with $35 million. The fourth position was taken by Fantasy Journey: Westward ($25 million). Thus Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds brought in more revenue than the next three biggest RPGs combined, which best illustrates how big an event the game's release was.
Success of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is all the more impressive that the game is only available in Asia at the moment. The game turned out to be the biggest hit in Japan. Players from the Land of the Rising Sun were responsible for 45.6 million dollars of revenue (45%) from the first eleven days.
Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is available on iOS and Android devices. The game uses a free-to-play model with microtransations. The game is expected to debut on Western markets in the first half of next year.
