No sound in RoadCraft? Audio issues explained
RoadCraft is the newest simulation of heavy off-road vehicles from Saber Interactive. Unfortunately, the game has a problem – it can disable your audio completely.
Playing new games in 2025 is, in many cases, a painful experience. Bugs and performance issues are very common. RoadCraft isn’t an exception. One of the problems that appears in this production is missing sound. So, you can drive huge machines, travel through difficult terrain and build roads in complete silence. At this point you have two options – continue playing this way or try fixing it. If you have decided on option number 2 then you will find a potential solution to the problem in this guide.
Audio issues in RoadCraft explained
This bug is quite unique. When you start RoadCraft, sounds disappear completely from all applications. You can’t hear your friends on Discord or music in the background. If you launch the game and hear only your thoughts, there are two methods to change this situation. In the first place, you can restart your speakers or headphones. If this doesn’t help, you should try switching audio output for another device and/or going back to the original one.
You must keep in mind that these fixes do not always work and sometimes you will have to accept the lack of sound. In this case, you have to wait for Saber Interactive to resolve the problem. In the meantime, you can use your smartphone (or other device) to listen to music or podcasts during gameplay.
Multiplayer in RoadCraft
Saber Interactive's simulators have multiplayer modes. RoadCraft isn’t an exception and offers co-op for up to 4 players. Sounds great, isn’t it? Unfortunately, audio bug can interrupt your plans.
In theory, the audio bug does not block you from playing with friends. However, you must keep in mind that the game only features the possibility to play over the Internet. Couch split-screen isn’t available. At this point, you can probably see the problem – without sound on your computer, you won't be able to easily communicate with your companions. All you can do is to use a smartphone.
