Oblivion Remastered brings back memories, as poor performance and stuttering are troubling players

The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion is one of the classic Bethesda games. No wonder that the decision was made to remaster it. Fans feel nostalgic, especially when they leave sewers and face poor performance.

Officially I am old. crashes and stuttering. The latter is extremally funny, as it reminds me of the original game. Why so?

Oblivion Remastered performance issues and stuttering takes us back in time

When it was released, Oblivion was a beast. It could defeat even the most powerful machines. It all started innocently enough, until the moment we emerged from the underground. FPS drop was a shock for many, including my friends and me, too. It seems that the story is repeating itself, as more and more people report performance issues in the Remastered version, after leaving the initial tutorial indoors section and entering the big world. The same point when we used to experience it 19 years ago.

Sadly, there are no specific solutions for that, of course, if you experience stuttering, you can try some classic fixes like:

  1. Turning off background software and overlays.
  2. Lowering graphics and using upscaling.
  3. Capping FPS.
  4. Running the game as .
  5. Updating drivers.
  6. ing files.

Each of them may help you. However, it is also possible that they will not. What then? There is a great chance that the game will be fixed soon. As a person who experienced it many years ago, I can tell you - be patient. A good thing in modern gaming is that all issues can be solved quite quickly via the Internet now. It used to be more difficult. So, let’s be glad that we live today! Nevertheless, good luck! And let’s hope that Morrowind will be next.
