One of PlayStation 1 icons is about to return after 28 years. Croc: Legend of the Gobbos remaster has a release date
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remaster already has a release date. The iconic crocodile will return in April.

Fans of the iconic green crocodile can now breathe a sigh of relief - we have learned the final release date of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remaster. The game will hit PC (GOG), PS4, PS5, XOne, XSX/S and Switch on April 2, 2025. The devs have officially confirmed this information on X, and with it, a trailer was released along with a reminder about the option to add the game to the wishlist.
The remaster of the cult platform game from the PSX era - specifically from 1997 - was originally supposed to appear at the end of 2024. The developers at Argonaut Games studio have chosen to delay the release to the first quarter of 2025 to polish the game and satisfy fan expectations.
Besides, the refreshed graphics, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remaster will offer players a special feature called The Crocipedia. This will be nothing more than a digital collection of archival materials, created thanks to the cooperation between developers and the original team responsible for the creation of the game. It will include, among others:
- concept arts of characters and levels;
- project documents;
- unique promotional materials;
- pre-release versions of the cult soundtrack;
- exclusive interviews with the devs.
