Post Trauma plans a „re-release” after launching alongside Oblivion

The Oblivion shadow drop has taken over gaming. Thankfully, indie game Post Trauma has a plan to avoid being completely overshadowed.

After the surprise release of Post Trauma the same day as Oblivion Remastered. But don’t worry, they have a plan.

Post Trauma decides to re-release the game after launching the same day as Oblivion

Post Trauma will be re-released in June, but they won’t be taking the game down, it’s still available now, and they’re not adding anything new to the game. The Raw Fury team explained the plan with a short video via social media. In about eight and a half weeks they will “re-release” Post Trauma to give everyone enough time to finish playing Oblivion first. Even some of the team in the video were playing the new remaster.

Inspired by classic PlayStation 2 survival horror games, Post Trauma is described as a puzzle horror game where the player must navigate dark environments, meet other lost characters, and deal with horrifying monsters. The developers are chasing that retro feel by giving the game a fixed camera and bringing back save rooms that make progress even more tense and difficult.

Of course, Post Trauma is still available now on Steam and consoles, but I’ll be looking forward to its June 23rd re-release date. By then we will be living in a post-Nintendo Switch 2 world, so maybe there will actually be something new about the game to celebrate. If this sounds like a game that’s interesting to you, Post Trauma is 10% off on Steam until next week, and it’s only $14.99 at full price.

It’s probably nothing, but there is a feeling in the pit of my stomach that makes me worry. With how bad Post Trauma’s luck is with release dates, maybe June 23rd is when Hollow Knight: Silksong too.
