Resources to start the development of Republique was raised in 2010 on Kickstater, where players ed the authors with $555,000. Originally the game was released in an episodic model (the free version available on Steam includes all episodes) on iOS, but over time the game was also ported to PC and consoles. Two years ago, a Google Stadia version was also released.
PC version of Republique met with a warm reception - on Steam 76% of player reviews are positive, which is categorized as "mostly positive" reception.
