Polish studio CreativeForge Games, known for such productions as. Phantom Doctrine, announced its next project - Stargate: Timekeepers. The title is going to be released on PC, and the publisher will be Slitherine. No release date has been revealed yet.
As the title suggests, the game is created based on the license of the sci-fi franchise Stargate, and specifically its TV installments. The action will begin at the end of the seventh season of Stargate SG-1, from the so-called Battle of Antarctica.
Players will command a squad of new characters led by Eva McCain. The first task will be to the characters known from the silver screen in a skirmish against Anubis fleet. Afthet that, the team will go on an adventure which will lead them to many unknown places.
During the game we have to travel both in space and time. Players will have to, among others, rescue civilians from System Lords and humanity's allies.
Not much is known about the gameplay mechanics. A slight surprise is the fact that Stargate: Timekeepers will rely on real-time gameplay, because CreativeForge Games is known mainly from turn-based combat systems. We'll have to wait for more details, though.
The announcement was accompanied by the first trailer, but it's impossible to deduce anything from it. It does not contain any fragments of gameplay and shows only the sequence of stargate activation.
