SteamWorld Dig 2 confirmed for PC and PlayStation 4
If you have been disappointed that SteamWorld Dig 2 was coming only to Nintendo Switch, you will be happy to hear that the game has also been confirmed for PC and PlayStation 4.
Although previously it was only announced for Nintendo Switch, SteamWorld Dig 2 has been confirmed to arrive on Steam and PlayStation 4 as well. The sequel to the successful Metroidvania game from 2013 is aimed to launch this year across all platforms, either in late summer or early fall. The Steam version will be available on Windows PC, Mac and Linux.
Despite its imminent release the information about the game are scarce. Similarly to the first SteamWorld Dig, the sequel is a mining adventure based on Metroidvania mechanics. As for the plot, an excerpt from the official description says: “In search of her lost friend, a lone steambot and her unlikely companion must dig deep, gain riches and explore an underworld riddled with danger. But time is running short…”.
