Stuck on Where Spirits Have Lease in Oblivion Remastered? This glitch is troublesome
A glitch in the Where Spirits Have Lease quest is preventing you from getting an important note in Oblivion Remastered, leaving you stuck? Our guide explains this problem.
As you would expect from an RPG game, players can look forward to a very large number of quests to complete in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Many NPCs are in need, and our character can help them solve their problems. One such NPC is Velwyn Benirus, who commissions the Where Spirits Have Lease quest. The snag is that it's glitchy and quite a few players may have trouble completing it. Fortunately, we come to the aid. Read our guide to find out what can be done about it.
Problem with Where Spirits Have Lease quest in Oblivion Remastered explained
In the Where Spirits Have Lease quest, at one stage of the task, you will have to sleep in the manor and then defeat three spirits that attack you. Your next step to continue the quest should be to examine the broken vase downstairs. It is on the ground near the fireplace. Next to it you should find an item called Scrap from Lorgren's Diary. Unfortunately, quite a few people encounter some problems (check out our guide, if you have issues with other aspects of the game). Namely, the note does not spawn at all. Or at least that's what it looks like...
The truth is that the note just blends in very well with the background, making it barely visible. What's more, the chances are that it won't appear next to the vase, but simply somewhere in the room. If you don't see Scrap from Lorgren's Diary close to the vase, search the vicinity carefully. However, if you are sure, it is still nowhere to be found there, reload the save from before the vase was broken. You may need to do it a couple of times, but at some point it should appear next to the vase.
At the end, it's also worth making sure you have the note in your inventory after picking it up earlier. This is mainly because without it, you may not be able to talk to Velwyn Benirus to continue in the quest.
