Two Deep Rock Galactic games featured in Triple-i showcase
Today's Triple-i indie showcase featured dozens of great games, including updates from Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core and Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor had updates for fans of the popular franchise. Before this presentation I knew that Deep Rock Galactic had announced a few other types of games, but I didn’t know just how far along many of those different ideas were.
Two Deep Rock Galactic games appeared in today’s Triple-i initiative showcase
Rogue Core was shown first, appearing second overall in the showcase. This game follows the original’s co-op concept, but rather than continually build up resources over multiple missions, Rogue Core turns the game into a rogue-lite, as the title suggests. Start each mission with the most basic equipment and upgrade as you go. Play as a Reclaimer, a security force sent to secure mining facilities after an enormous transient disturbance. The mines are infested with deadly Core Spawn that need to be wiped out.
This spin-off will be launching sometime soon in early access, but today’s trailer announced that a Closed Alpha will soon become available on Steam. Interested players can sign up now via Steam to request access. There’s no date for when the Alpha will go live, but surely the sooner you sign up the better your chances. Also, while you’re on Steam, don’t forget to add this game and any others from the Triple-i showcase to your wishlist. It’s an easy and free way for hardworking indie developers to show that there is measurable interest in their game.
Later in the showcase, we got a new trailer for Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, a game that is the franchise’s take on the survivors-like genre popularized by Vampire Survivors. This spin-off has already been out in Early Access on Steam for over a year and has received very positive reviews from players. DRG: Survivor is very different from the original game. It’s single-player rather than co-op, and rather than a first-person shooter, this is a top-down auto-shooter. The player must survive against hordes of enemies, unlocking upgrades as they go.
Today’s trailer announced when DRG: Survivor will reach 1.0 and leave Early Access. Since the game is out now in Early Access, you don’t necessarily have to wait to play the game. But if you prefer to wait for the full launch, you’ll only have to wait a few more months. DRG: Survivor is planned to launch on September 17th, 2025. You can add the game to your Steam wishlist to be reminded when DRG: Survivor leaves Early Access later this year. Plus, if you’re on the fence about jumping in, the game is currently on sale for 25% off.
