Prime Target is one of the newest series on Apple TV+ and has just come to an end. The drama production, in which we follow the life of a brilliant young mathematician, took viewers on an adventure full of danger. In it, the main character, close to a major breakthrough, began the fight for his life when a mysterious enemy decided to stop him. Working with an intelligence agent, the mathematician came across the trail of a dangerous conspiracy.
With the series finale on the minds of viewers, questions arise about the continuation – will season 2 be made, or maybe one season is all they will get. Let's find out what the future of the Apple TV+ series looks like.
Will there be a Prime Target season 2?
As of this moment, Prime Target has not been renewed for season 2 by Apple TV+. But that doesn't mean that this one won't be made at all, as the creator of the series, Steve Thompson, revealed in an interview with Deadline that he would like to continue the series. However, he doesn't know if Apple TV+ will give it another series. We'll have to wait for the streamer's decision.
I’d love to think there would be one, but there are no assurances at this stage. We’ll see what happens with the response and see where it goes from here. Edward is now a rogue force. Prime Target debuted on Apple TV+ on January 22, 2025, and came to an end on March 5, 2025, after eight episodes. If Prime Target's season 2 doesn't get made, fans will still have Edward's complete story, as season 1 told everything we could expect from it and allowed the main character to grow up as a person. However, if we get new episodes, we will know the consequences of Edward's decision from the finale. But for now, we have to wait for the evaluation of the audience and the reception of the series by executives from Apple TV+, on the basis of which they will make a decision about the future of Prime Target.
