Xbox Series S Games Are Smaller Than Xbox Series X Versions
Xbox Series S offers slightly more than 360 GB of storage space that can be used for games. Fortunately, releases optimized for the weaker console weigh much less compared to Xbox Series X versions.

- Xbox Series S offers only 364GB of SSD space for games.
- Games optimized for the weaker console weigh on average 40% less.
Games on Xbox Series S take up significantly less storage space than those optimized for Xbox Series X. This is important for those who feared that 364GB of free space on the console's SSD would quickly fill up.
As you can see from the tweet above, games installed on Xbox Series S are on average 40% smaller compared to releases on Xbox Series X. In the case of Gears 5, 39% less. This was achieved, among others, thanks to lower resolution textures (Xbox Series S is dedicated to s without 4K TV).

Soon we should know the sizes of more games. And if the developers will really work on the optimization of their titles, the smaller Xbox S Series drive will not be as much of a problem as it initially seemed.
