Let's be honest with each other, deep down, we all dream of a war with Karen from five.

A few words about the game

Animal Crossing spans a few installments. The latest, titled New Horizons, is a Nintendo Switch exclusive that depicts life in an idyllic town on a colorful island. The catch is that we are the ones to get the whole economic system moving, starting from scratch. By the way, we also have to pay off a huge debt incurred by the amiable entrepreneur Tom. We can fish, we can take care of the garden – we can do literally anything we heartily wish.

Type of cruelty

At the beginning, the situation is quite sad, because we are the only inhabitants of this lovely islet. With time, the animals start to appear and we mostly develop fondness to them. Some of them seem quite friendly and likeable, but every society has to have its own scum. So, from time to time, we will not avoid ones that are nosy, useless and irritating. So what to do?

Any pest can be eradicated after a while, but it takes cunning, consistency and creativity. Simple insults, personal attacks or ignorant behavior are doomed to fail. You should take matters into your own hands and, like an exemplary citizen, erect a mighty wall. Preferably around the house of the pesky neighbor. A sign with the words "Leave my beautiful island!” will also not go amiss. Even the toughest character will not withstand such treatment.

Then he interpreted Iranian dramas and the Joker, writing for cinematography journal, which, sadly, no longer exists. His writing credentials include a degree in film studies, but his thesis was strictly devoted to video games. He has been writing for Gamepressure since March 2020, first writing a lot about movies, then in the newsroom, and eventually, he became a specialist in everything. He currently edits and writes articles and features. A long-time enthusiast of the most bizarre indie games and arthouse cinema. He idolizes surrealism and postmodernism. He appreciates the power of absurdity. Which is probably why he also tried soccer refereeing for 2 years (with so-so results). He tends to over-philosophize, so watch out.
