14 Android Games Perfect For The Summer (2021).

Archero

  1. Operating system: Android 5.0 or higher
  2. Price: free-to-play + micropayments

A definite favorite of many when it comes to mobile action games. Archero has the feel of a roguelike game. Here we go through levels, fight waves of enemies, collect various upgrades and have to reckon with the fact that death sets us back to the start. Rest assured, our progress results in reinforcements with which to begin our next adventure. What's more, if we manage to complete all the stages of a given dungeon, we'll discover another one, where we'll start making our way through even tougher enemies.

The gameplay itself requires constant brain racking. Our archer shoots automatically, but only when they are not moving. We have to constantly maneuver the hero to avoid incoming bullets, but also find a moment to stop and shoot. This simple mechanic works and you won't even notice when gameplay draws you in.

You should like it if:

  1. You're looking for a dynamic roguelike;
  2. You enjoy arcade elements;
  3. You want to be an active participant in the fun.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted

{ramkazielona}

  1. Operating system: Android 4.1 or higher
  2. Price: $5 + micropayments

Unfortunately, this is not the old, venerable Need for Speed: Most Wanted, but only its new iteration. In many ways, it stands apart from the original and doesn't offer the same experience when it comes to the story campaign, but it's still a pretty enjoyable game. Especially if you're playing on a mobile device, on which Need for Speed: Most Wanted looks surprisingly good.

Just be warned about the clunky controls that take some getting used to. There's also a lack of free city driving, but races with bots can be a pain. The level of difficulty increases over time, and in fact it's no longer enough just to upgrade your car – skill counts as well.

You should like it if:

  1. You're looking for an arcade racing game;
  2. You expect challenging opponents, not just simple fun;
  3. You don't need extensive tuning and prefer to focus on racing.
