Baldur's Gate is a legendary RPG franchise that, at one point in its 20-plus-year history, had a love affair with the hack'and'slash genre. The result of this romance is Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.

The gameplay in this game follows the typical style of Diablo-like titles, where players take on the role of a hero facing hordes of enemies to defeat. For fighting, we receive experience points needed to develop the character and loot, which increases the protagonist's defensive and offensive potential. Some intriguing, if not controversial, innovations have been introduced in the well-known framework. Examples include a bird's eye view and only three predefined heroes to choose from. We're talking about a dwarven warrior, an elven sorceress, and a human archer.

The mobile version for Android and iOS devices has controls adapted for touch screens, but it can also be played using gamepads. Furthermore, the mobile edition allows you to play in local cooperation - you need two external controllers.
