What is Phantom Brigade about?
Phantom Brigade is a turn-based strategy set in a fictional universe of the future, known for some time from Early Access. As a result of the conflict, the enemy army attack a certain country and begins its occupation. We play as a commander of the local resistance and start to fight with the occupying forces. But instead of carrying out acts of sabotage and using homemade mines, we are using a powerful mechs equipped with significant firepower and various other functions, depending on the need of the mission. The combat is turn-based and tactical, but certainly not quiet and stealthy.
What makes it worth playing?
You shouldn't reach for this title for its plot and narration, because Phantom Brigade presents its story very sparingly, limiting itself to only a few lines of text, without any cutscenes. The essence of the gameplay is turn-based combat with spectacular slow-motion inserts and various tasks to complete. There are no great battles here, only rather small units clashes. This is a great proposal for fans of science fiction and mechs.
