RPG action created under license of Marvel comic book company, dedicated to the character of Captain of America, and associated with a movie with the same title. In the game we play the role of a popular hero and fight against superhumans and their assistants in the course of several dozen extensive missions.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a dynamic mobile action RPG, depicting the struggle of the title superhero from an isometric perspective. The production accompanied the premiere of the cinema adventures of Captain of America (under the same title) and was published by the French studio Gameloft, known for Spider-Man: Unlimited, as well as the Asphalt and Modern Combat series. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is available as in freemium model.
The game is loosely connected with the movie, thanks to which Captain America - entangled in an international intrigue - is facing not only the title Winter Soldier, but also a number of other supervillains known from Marvel's comic universe (e.g. King Cobra, Taskmaster, Puff Adder).
Across several dozen dynamic missions, Captain America is assisted by agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The player recruits and improves individuals after successful missions. However, it is much more important to take care of the main character, skillfully use his special skills, unlock new ones and make use of the famous shield, which can be thrown over long distances in combat. Other Avengers, including Black Widow, Nick Fury, and Falcon, are there to help in times of need.
The struggle with the soldiers of the world's criminal organizations is not limited to mindlessly mowing down hundreds of mooks, because the creators managed to weave a note of tactics into the combat system. As a result, the gameplay becomes more interesting and does not get bored so quickly.
The game offers a surprisingly pleasant but not very varied gameplay in the single player story mode. There is also an asynchronous multiplayer mode, in which players from all over the world can send their trained agents to battle.
The title features interesting three-dimensional visuals, inspired by Marvel comics (cel-shading technique), two basic controls systems (virtual knob and touch, typical for PC action RPGs) and a pathetic soundtrack, maintained in the American spirit.
