Release Date: TBA
The sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 by Polish studio CD Projekt RED. In the game known by the codename Project Orion, we once again move to a dystopian future overrun by megacorporations, trying to survive and become an urban legend.
Project Orion is the temporary name of a yet-to-be-revealed game by Polish studio CD Projekt RED. This is a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, released in 2020, and the player will once again find himself in a futuristic dystopian world based on Mike Pondsmith's role-playing game.
The action of Project Orion, as in its predecessor, takes place in a dystopian future. The game world is overrun by megacorporations waging wars among themselves for profit and influence. The ultra-capitalist system sweeping the world keeps the majority of the population in abject poverty and leads to violence on city streets, costing many citizens their lives. Widespread cybernetic implants that enhance people's physical capabilities are slowly leading to cyberpsychosis, massacres and death at the hands of the forces of order. The player takes on the role of one of the citizens of this world or the cyberpunks of the title, trying to survive in the brutal dystopia and become an urban legend.
Although not much information has been revealed about the production, we can assume that the gameplay expands on the mechanics introduced in Cyberpunk 2077. Once again we are dealing with an RPG in which our decisions affect the lives of the characters we meet. The game world is open and filled with story quests, side quests, NPCs and various types of weaponry.
A big role in the gameplay is played by implants, which we can install in so-called ripperdocks. They enhance our abilities, including giving us superpowers, the ability to slow down time or hand-mounted blades. The game is characterized by freedom in of available builds - we can face enemies in open combat, use firearms, white weapons, hack enemy implants, sneak past them or negotiate with NPCs to ensure safe age.
