A brutal fighting game and a reboot of the Mortal Kombat video game series - one of the most popular fighting-oriented franchises, launched back in 1992. The game was created by NetherRealm and the works were supervised by Ed Boon - the father of the series. This new installment is based on the best mechanics of its predecessors, both improving and modernizing the classic Mortal Kombat experience. Thus brutal fighting is the core of the game - fights are filled with spectacular special attacks and creative ways of finishing off the enemy. The players received a massive number of both well-known and completely new fighters. The new X-Ray system was introduced as well, allowing the player to launch special attack sequences. New game modes were also added, including challenges, Story Mode and Tag Team, which allows two teams of two players to fight against each other. Combining classic elements with the new can be also observed in the visuals that combine 2D and 3D elements.

As usual, the game includes most of the characters the fans of the series are familiar with. Each of the in-game fighters has their own unique fighting style and a set of spectacular special abilities. All of this is complemented by (what is typical for this franchise) cel-shaded graphics that successfully recreate the art style of Japanese animation. The fourth full-fledged installment of the popular series of arcade fighting games in which characters known from Capcom games are facing Marvel Comics superheroes. In Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite two antagonists of both universes combine into one powerful creature known as Ultron Sigma. He is trying to take control of both worlds. In order to stop the villain the heroes from both dimensions have to find four Infinity Stones and face a group led by the so-called Jedah Dogma. Similarly to previous entries in the series, the title is a three-dimensional fighting game, in which the players participate in two-on-two battles. The fights take place on three-dimensional arenas and include most famous Marvel heroes and characters from Capcom games. The Infinity Stones are a new feature – they provide warriors with additional abilities during the combat.
