Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered is the remastered version of the 2000's first-person shooter, Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion, the third main installment in the Turok series originally released on the Nintendo 64. It was co-developed by Nightdive Studios, a team specializing in remasters, and Iguana Entertainment.
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered is set directly after Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Its protagonists are Joseph and Danielle Fireseed. They must defeat the titular Oblivion, a monstrous cosmic abomination devouring all of existence. Beforehand, they must face its followers, the Flesh Eaters.
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered is a first-person shooter. Both of the game's playable characters have unique abilities, strengths and weaknesses. Danielle can jump higher and wield powerful weapons, while Joseph can fit through narrow gaps, wielding a sniper rifle and night vision goggles.
The player must complete objectives, explore diverse locations and take down hordes of enemies, ranging from Oblivion's worshippers to dinosaurs. The game features a wide roster of weapons, all of which can be upgraded in preparation for greater challenges.
Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered runs on the proprietary KEX Engine. The game's visuals have been refreshed; the textures, shadows and models have been upgraded, and a number of advanced rendering features have been implemented. The game also s 4K resolution and 120 FPS.
