Two Worlds II for PC, X360 and PS3 is the second installment in a series of RPGs created by Reality Pump. The creators focused mainly on improving the combat system and the visuals. Although the gameplay formula remains unchanged, a set of innovative concepts was introduced into the game.
In Two Worlds II for PC, X360 and PS3, the story begins five years after the events from the original game. The world of Antaloor is ruled by Gandohar – a dark lord extremely fond of conducting experiments involving black magic. He drains his power from the soul of Kira, who is the sister of the protagonist. Being gradually deprived of her energy, she is getting weaker each day. The protagonist is unable to rescue her any more, for the last attempt was unsuccessful, and he was locked in a dungeon. Since then, he remains incarcerated and is regularly tortured.
When all hope is lost, a group of orcs led by the Dragon Queen attack the prison and rescue the protagonist, offering an alliance on the spot. The former enemies wish that the protagonist ed them in order to defeat Gandohar and liberate Antaloor. In so doing, the player is given a chance to deal with the evil forces and perhaps save his sister, who is running out of vital powers.
In Two Worlds II for PC, X360 and PS3, the player explores many kinds of new environments, such as tropical jungles or hot savannas inhabited by new species of virtual animals of course, such as rhinos or ostriches. The game also features reptiles and many other wild animals that were not included in the original game. Apart from exploring the game world on foot, the player can also go by horse or a boat. Teleports can be used as well.
The combat system was improved, giving the player an ability to actively block enemy strikes, which extends the number of possible combat tactics which can be applied. It is worth mentioning that a completely new system of magic was introduced into the game. The player can combine their favourite spells together in order to defeat particular enemies. Apart from the single-player story mode, Two Worlds II offers a few different kinds of multiplayer.

Many RPGs deserved proper follow-ups, yet they have been sitting on the shelf with poor prospects for the future for years. Here is a sad reminder of the great role-playing games that are unlikely to be revived any time soon.

RPG
The second major expansion to Two Worlds II – third-person fantasy RPG created by the Polish studio Reality Pump. Call of the Tenebrae was released six years after the core game, along with a remastered version of the latter, so it offers better graphics than the original title. Main focus of the DLC’s story is the new enemy – a vile race of sapient rat-like monsters, serving some even more powerful creatures that seek to destroy the world of Antaloor. You have to assemble your allies – both old friends and new characters – and stop this threat. Call of the Tenebrae offers a dozen or so hours of gameplay. The adventure takes place in various new locations where you can find new items, learn new skills and encounter new enemies. Although the DLC has large amount of single player content, it offers no upgrades for the multiplayer mode.

RPG
An expansion for the second installment of the action RPG series by Reality Pump, a Polish development studio. Two Worlds II: Pirates of The Flying Fortress offers a new campaign that takes place in a previously uncharted area. The plot of the add-on is focused on a pirate captain and his crew who are confined on a cursed archipelago. The player helps the corsair save his beloved, find the legendary treasure, and suppress a mutiny on his ship. Of course, the story is non-linear, concluding with one of three endings. Gameplay-wise, the expansion introduces changes in the alchemy system, enables the player to steer a boat, adds new kinds of weapons and enemies, including powerful bosses, such as a Basilisk or a Stone Golem, who require the player to conduct a research on their weaknesses in order to defeat them. Apart from the single player campaign, Pirates of the Flying Fortress offers four new multiplayer maps for the Adventure mode. Moreover, the add-on slightly improves the graphics and introduces new, dynamic weather effects.
