VR Revolution; 11,000 Unreal Engine Games With VR
The first version of UEVR has been released. It's a fan project that adds virtual reality to virtually all games powered by Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5.

Despite huge investments, virtual reality devices remain a niche and most of the games coming out do not offer a VR mode. On PC, however, there is no shortage of fans who are creating mods to add such an option. One of them, known as Preydog, has just released an insanely impressive project of this type.
The mod is called UEVR and it adds virtual reality to virtually any game powered by Unreal Engine 4 and 5. This means that this one project has suddenly expanded the VR game base by more than eleven thousand additional items, such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Scorn or RoboCop: Rogue City.
The whole thing works surprisingly well, ing both FPP and TPP games (in the latter case, the goggles control the camera - the trailer above shows well how it works). The project offers multiple options for controls, display and sound, enabling us to freely configure various aspects and better suit our own preferences and the hardware we have.
Of course, UEVR does not provide such extensive features as games with native VR modes, but the gameplay experience is still good. What's more, the project enables us to create configurations and submods specifically for given games in the form of plug-ins, so we can expect that other fans will quickly start releasing such files that will make specific titles even better suited for virtual reality.
Creator of UEVR is also working on a website and an app, where information will be posted about what kind of game works in the mod's VR mode and how to configure it for optimal experience.
