Last night, saw the debut ofBeyond Sunset, a cyberpunk FPS, which combines the gameplay and styling of mid-90s shooters with RPG elements. The game was developed by the American team Metacorp / Vaporware, and its publisher is Movie Games S.A.
- The game is available exclusively on PC and can be purchased on Steam Early Access.
- The title costs $9. This is a promotional price, reduced by 10% to celebrate the release. The offer will remain valid until November 15.
- Version 1.0 will be twice as expensive as the Early Access release.
- Early Access period is expected to be relatively short - the devs plan to end it within six months.
The Early Access release offers three of the five planned chapters of the story campaign and provides about 4-8 hours of fun - depending on the style of gameplay and whether we take on side quests. The early version has all the basic gameplay mechanics implemented, both the typical FPS combat and RPG elements such as dialogue and progression system.
Previously released demos of Beyond Sunset made an excellent impression, so we promised ourselves a lot from this title. Judging by the first reviews on Steam, the devs succeeded in fulfilling the hopes of players. Currently, 92% of the reviews from s of this service are positive, although it must be honestly itted that there are not too many of them yet (mere 35). Below we quote some of the opinions of players:
"Positive! A good little game with cool mechanics."
"Very cool game, nice movement and combat system, nice graphics and animations and matching music."
"Resembles Deus Ex, but swaps the variety of gameplay styles for an emphasis on shooting in the style of Doom with elements such as double jumps, dodges and slides. I also like the fact that in addition to enjoyable gameplay, it offers an elaborate storyline, an element that many retro shooters find unnecessary."
