CD Projekt Will Carry Out Two AAA Projects This Year
The CEO of CD Projekt confirmed that the company is planning to create two AAA games simultaneously. This is a continuation of the announcement of the big changes that await the company in 2022.

The CEO of CD Projekt, Adam Kicinski, confirmed [in Polish] in an interview with ISBtech that the company will adopt a completely different strategy for 2022. The company plans to create two AAA games at the same time, which will be facilitated by the ongoing transformation. This is a continuation of the changes in the company already announced last year.
The main change will be the implementation of "agile" methodology, which consists in dividing the work stages into smaller cycles. This will supposedly allow for much better coordination of the game development process. The recently purchased studio in Canada will also play a large role in the rebuild.
"The simultaneous development of two AAA projects is our strategic objective for this year. The transformation of the studio, which assumes, among other things, a more efficient way of controlling the development progress of a given product by working in the agile methodology, is an element which is to significantly this process. Additionally, we intend to hire new, talented people to our development teams. The of the new team in Vancouver, which will grow dynamically in the coming years, will also be invaluable," said Kicinski in an interview with ISBtech.
The unsuccessful release of the hacking attack in February last year certainly didn't improve the situation of the Polish developer.
"This is definitely CD Projekt Red's biggest project - over 5,000 people were involved in creating the powerful, living universe of Night City. The game's budget was also record-breaking for us, and it can be compared to the biggest titles in the history of gaming. In almost every creative aspect we tried to reach a completely new level - just as we did with each game of The Witcher trilogy we released. We approached this title as something more than just another game. We built the foundations for a new global brand. On the other hand, the release of Cyberpunk taught us a lot. It was an impulse and motivation for change. We are convinced that the ongoing transformation of the studio will make us better in the future."
CD Projekt's plans for the near future include updating Cyberpunk 2077 and card game prepared by the studio, which is also to debut this year.
