Fans Remastered Iconic Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith
After two years of waiting, a new version of Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith Remastered, a project refreshing the excellent Dark Forces II expansion, has finally been released.

Released in February this year, Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster turned out to be an excellent game. Unfortunately, for the time being, it doesn't look like Nightdive studio will give a similar facelift to the second installment of the series, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. Fortunately, in this case, we do not have to rely on official productions. After all, a group of fans has been developing the version 3.0 of this project was released. And now, after almost two years of waiting, we finally got a new version of the sister modification, which offers an unofficial remaster of the Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith add-on.
The mod, simply called Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith Remastered, is tasked with thoroughly revamping virtually every aspect of the title. It ensures full compatibility with modern PCs and operating systems, modernizes controls, improves character, object, and weapon models, introduces new textures, and implements a much better lighting system.

What's new in version 3.0?
Version 3.0 brings a mass of changes:
- Compared to version 2.0, all graphical elements have been heavily improved. Now the mod presents the quality of models and textures comparable to those of Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
- The authors have remastered all cutscenes and now they run fully on the game engine, instead of being a static CG video using only gameplay models.
- The foundation of the project has been changed. As before with Jedi Knight Remastered, the JKGFXMOD mod has been abandoned and instead the whole thing is based on the much more modern OpenJKDF2 project. This change brings solutions to many of the problems plaguing Mysteries of the Sith, such as micro-stuttering and lack of full for ultra-panoramic resolutions.
Overall the fans have done a hell of a work on this project. With the mod Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith Remastered becomes a much better game and one far easier to recommend to modern audiences.
