GameDevPaidMe - Developers Reveal Their Earnings on Twitter
Hashtag #GameDevPaidMe is trending on Twitter again, and just like a year ago, developers are revealing their earnings and encouraging fellow developers to break the conspiracy of silence.
Hashtag #GameDevPaidMe has become popular on Twitter again, used by developers from various companies to share information about their earnings during their gamedev careers. The trend was started in May/June 2020 and was supposed to draw attention to the poor financial situation of designers, graphic artists and programmers working on popular titles. The hashtag was also supposed to be an encouragement for colleagues to know their worth and not to be afraid to talk about due increases.
For the past few days, developers have one again started sharing their salaries with the Twitter community and encourage others to in. Here are a few statements from developers from different companies.
