GTA 6 may introduce children for the first time in the series. Community analyzes one screen
Rockstar provided fans with so much footage from GTA 6 that new theories have grown like mushrooms. This time, fans have spotted in one of the screenshots... a kid.

GTA 6 continues to stir emotions. Fans from all over the world are still going through the recent materials released by Rockstar Games - from the new trailer to dozens of high-quality screenshots. One of them, in fact, caused quite a stir.
So, on one of those screens, eagle-eyed players spotted a character that looks like... a kid. And although it may just be an exceptionally short adult, the fan community immediately started with the analysis. Of course, this raised the question: Is it possible that GTA 6 will be the first game in the series where children will appear?
Child or simply "short king"?
The screenshot that sparked the discussion shows an inconspicuous figure sitting at a table. Two significantly larger figures are by his side—perhaps, as some internet s would suggest, his parents.
Some see a child there, others just see a short NPC. This wouldn't be the first time fans have noticed something like this. After the first trailer was released in December 2023, some claimed that in the background of the "mud girl" scene, you could also see children (see screenshot below - it's about the characters in the water in the background).
So far, no installment of GTA has included child characters. It's no secret that children rarely appear in games, primarily for ethical reasons, but also for PR purposes. Even if Rockstar decides to take such a step, they will probably only be present in cutscenes and protected from any harm.
Is Lucia a mother? If you were to connect the dots...
What's interesting, the issue of children's presence in GTA 6 fits into one of the popular fan theories. It concerns the main characters - Lucia and Jason. There are rumors that Jason might be working with the police under duress. The reason? The child he allegedly has with Lucia.
In Lucia's biography, there is information that she went to prison for "fighting for her family." Fans suspect that this may concern her kid. Rockstar had already touched on a similar theme in Red Dead Redemption. If that were truly the case, the inclusion of children in the game would be, in a way, justified by the storyline.
Will Rockstar take a controversial step and introduce children into GTA 6? And if so, will they just be background characters or will they have something to tell? We will have to wait for the answer until May 26, 2026.
