Frontier Development – responsible for creating and releasing the game Jurassic World: Evolution – reported that since the release of the title, more than two million copies were sold (the first million was reached within five weeks). The creators are extremely pleased with these results – the production deserved the title of "the best premiere in the history of the company."
David Braben, CEO of Frontier Development has said:
We are very pleased with the success of Jurassic World Evolution, which has been our biggest launch to date," says CEO David Braben. "Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster also continue to perform well, as our strategy of ing, nurturing and enhancing each of our game franchises continues to deliver. I look forward to providing more details about our fourth game franchise, as well as our existing franchises, in the coming months.
Jurassic World Evolution is a production under the license of the famous films Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. In the game, we are supervising a park full of dinosaurs. Unlike in the blockbusters – which usually depict desperate attempts to survive after the inevitable catastrophe, resulting from the release of bloodthirsty, prehistoric reptiles – in Evolution, we will not find action in the typical sense of the word. Instead, we are dealing with a rather calm economic strategy, in which our task is to prove that, in the right hands, the idea of the Jurassic Park could be successful.
This title debuted on June 23, 2018 on computers (Steam), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
