Slitherine announced a remake of the classic 4X strategy/RPG hybrid from the 90s - Master of Magic. Polish studio Muha Games is responsible for the game. The first trailer was also released, available below.
The game will enable us to play as one of the fourteen powerful mages competing for power in two different worlds - Arcanus and Myrror. It will also offer the opportunity to learn different schools of magic and lead legions of fantastic creatures to battle, such as orcs, dwarves, elves and dragons. We will also get the opportunity to deal with alchemy, create our own spells and perform powerful rituals.
Additionally, a three-minute material with a commentary by Mila Undro - writer and quests designer in the discussed game - has appeared in the web.
Original Master of Magic was released in 1994. In August 2019, Slitherine Software announced that it had acquired the rights to the IP, so it was only a matter of time before a remake or sequel was announced. Eventually, we had to wait several months for it. Everything indicates that the refreshed version of the classic will hit the market in 2022. - This is the date shown on the game's card on Steam.
