Oblivion Remastered on PS4 and Xbox One explained. All you need to know
A sudden drop of Oblivion Remastered on PC and the latest generation of consoles was warmly welcomed by many. However, can we suspect a similar thing to happen for PS4 and Xbox One?

While we had Oblivion Remastered is about to drop, it was still a nice surprise for many. Moreover, the game was not released only on Xbox Series X / S and PC but also on PS5, which strengthened the message that Microsoft does not want exclusives. The decision whether it is good or bad I leave to your own judgement. However, don’t we forget about something? What about old consoles – PS4 and Xbox Series X. Can we hope for their ports, too?
Oblivion Remastered on PS4 and Xbox One explained
While the newest generation of consoles is more and more popular, no wonder as it was released in 2020, the old one is still strong. There are many people who have PS4 or Xbox One on their shelves, next to TVs. What’s more, there are still games which are released on these devices even all these years after the premiere of their newer versions. So, it is not so strange to look for information regarding the newest platforms and their launch.
In the case of Oblivion Remastered we have to worry you, though. It seems that we will not get the version for the old generation of consoles. There is no information about it from developers. Moreover, even the older Bethesda’s game – Starfield – was released only for Xbox Series X / S. So, taking this into consideration, it is even less likely that something will change in the future about Oblivion port.
Let’s that Oblivion Remastered was rewritten on Unreal Engine 5, which can be demanding even for the new hardware. So, porting it to the older one would be a challenging, if not impossible, task.
