The PlayStation 5 has received another systems update, although Sony has not seen fit to share the official list of fixes introduced by the new firmware.

The PlayStation 5 has quietly received a new software update. Firmware 22.01-05.50.00.08-00.00.00.0.1 is not one of the biggest patches, which is already evident from its number (it differs from the previous update only by the "1" at the end). Thus, it is unlikely to introduce major changes.
"Unlikely" because Sony did not say a word about the release of the new firmware and did not leave any information about the fixes present in it. The extremely short time sufficient to and install the update (so short that no one seems to have even had time to notice the data volume) has led many to believe that Sony has only improved the PS5's stability. Others claim that it is just a simple hotfix for the version 22.01-05.50.
Perhaps firmware 22.01-05.50.00.08-00.00.00.0.1 hides something more, but for now it falls to consider this a modest (and optional) update.
