PS5 has Overtaken Nintendo Switch for the First Time in the US
For the first time in 33 months, more PlayStation 5 consoles were sold in the U.S. market than Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo's dominance on the American market has come to an end. In September, for the first time PlayStation 5 was the leader in of the number of consoles sold in the US. Previously, for 33 months in a row, the first place in this category was held by Nintendo Switch. In the past, there have been times when PS5 and other devices have proven to be the best in of revenue, but never in of volume sold.
Analysts believe that Sony's console could have achieved this feat some time ago, but production problems got in the way, resulting in low availability of the device. Taking into the first nine months of this year, Nintendo Switch remains the leader in the number of units sold, and PlayStation 5 wins in of revenue.
Among games, Tales of Arise scored the best debut in the series' history.
