PS5's Interface Will not Resemble That of PS4
All indications are that the interface offered by PlayStation 5 will be very different from what the PS4 offers.
The past week has been fruitful for those waiting for PlayStation 5, including first official accessories. Now, we've learned a little bit about the interface that is being developed for PS5 and it looks like it's going to be very different.
Player known as Toumari has found Matt MacLaurin's profile on LinkedIn, UI designer at Sony. In a series of answers to questions, he revealed that this aspect of the PS5 will be thoroughly redesigned compared to the current generation. It is supposed to offer "a completely new visual language" and many fresh solutions. The developers are focusing on functionality and quick access to the most important options, and what they have developed has few pixels left from PlayStation 4.
While this does sound interesting, unfortunately MacLaurin did not share any graphics that would show PS5's interface in action. We hope that Sony does not make us wait long for this aspect of the console to be revealed.
Matt MacLaurin also revealed that there are many special editions of PS5 planned, and their appearance will be customizable far beyond what previous generations allowed. Unfortunately, here, too, no details were provided.
It's worth recalling that the competitive company Microsoft will probably go another way. According to recent reports, the Xbox Series X console interface will be very similar to that of Xbox One. During the previous generation change many s complained about problems with switching to new solutions and this time the company wants to avoid it.
We don't know when PlayStation 5 will be released yet, but the interest in the console is already huge. Last week's PS5 show was predict that Sony's platform will sell much better than Xbox Series X.
