Resident Evil 9 Got Its Card on Metacritic but Half-Life 3 Has Had One for Years
A page for Resident Evil 9 has appeared on Metacritic, which may suggest an announcement of the game, but this should not be taken for granted, as we can also find Half-Life 3 there.

It's been over 3 years since the premiere of the last installment of the ninth" one is that it's in the making. The creators confirmed this information during the Capcom Next show, which took place this July. However, the announcement of the game may be closer than we think, as the title has just appeared on Metacritic.
Theoretically, this may not mean anything yet, as may indicate otherwise.
It is worth noting, however, that for example Resident Evil 4 Remake: Gold Edition has appeared on Metacritic 2 months before the official announcement. So there is a glimmer of hope that we will soon learn the first information about the new installment of this iconic survival horror game series. Please keep in mind, however, that these are just assumptions, and the page on the website may not be in any way related to the imminent announcement of the game.
Let's remind that according to recent rumors, the premiere of Resident Evil 9 was supposed to be postponed to the end of 2025 or even 2026. The title will supposedly take us to an open world, and its budget is to be the largest in the history of the series. In addition, the expansion for the eight installment, namely Shadows of Rose, concluded the story of the Winters family, which means that the new installment will most likely introduce us to new characters or return to one of the older figures.
In addition to the discussed RE9, refreshed versions of Code: Veronica are also said to be in development. However, this information has not been confirmed by the creators.
