What You Might Have Missed From the PlayStation State of Play
A long list of games was showcased during yesterday's PlayStation State of Play. Here are a few games that might have flown under your radar.

Yesterday’s PlayStation State of Play showcase featured forty minutes of announcements, reveals, and more. Announcements included a Returnal. But there are also plenty of other exciting announcements you might have missed.
Highlights you might have missed from the PlayStation State of Play
Early on in the presentation, fans were treated to the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. This kart racer looks like it has all the favorite Sonic characters, and each race will take place across various worlds, using ring portals to travel between them. This is just an announcement, so there is no release date yet.
Also from Sega is Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. This announcement trailer comes as part of Sega’s return to its classic games announced at the 2023 Game Awards. Whether you played the original or not, this 2D action platformer has a beautiful art style and looks to be an exciting revisit to the series, which hasn’t seen a new game since 2011.
For fans of 3D action games, Lies of P: Overture will take players to new wintery locations and introduce more challenging boss battles and peculiar characters.
One of the most unexpected announcements came from Konami. The trailer for the studio’s game Darwin’s Paradox!, puts the player in the place of an octopus. The player must use stealth and camouflage to explore and survive the surface world in this action-adventure platformer. It sounds strange, but the gameplay looks good.
A few other smaller games also got some time in the spotlight. Blue Prince from develop Dogubomb is a mysterious puzzle adventure where the player constructs and explores a mansion, in that order. From developer Moon Hood, Lost In Random and will be playable on PS VR2 as well as other platforms.
Finally, the trailer for Tides of Annihilation from Eclipse Glow Games turned some heads with its dark, apocalyptic, fantastic portrayal of London in this new action-adventure game. The announcement trailer shows the protagonist using spectral knights to fight enemies, as well as climbing upon enormous hulking creatures as they walk about the landscape. This is the first trailer we have seen of this game, but it could quickly become a game players look out for.
