Xbox Play Anywhere to go live on September 13
Xbox Play Anywhere is going to launch on September 13. The first games to the cross-buy feature are ReCore, Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2 and others.

Xbox Play Anywhere is going to launch on September 13, 2016, acording to Microsoft via Polygon. Announced at this year’s E3, the service will make some Xbox One titles available on Windows 10 with the cross-buy feature (once you have purchased a game you can play it interchangeably on your console or PC). This will require you to install Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update – which goes live on August 2 – and the summer update for your Xbox One. Here is the list of first Xbox Play Anywhere ed games as revealed by Microsoft:
- Gears of War 4,
- Forza Horizon 3,
- ReCore,
- Sea of Thieves,
- Halo Wars 2,
- Scalebound,
- Killer Instinct Season 3,
- State of Decay 2,
- Ark: Survival Evolved,
- Cuphead,
- We Happy Few,
- Crackdown 3.
Xbox Play Anywhere will make it possible for people on Windows 10 PC and XONE to play together, as well as share their game saves and achievements between the two platforms. The titles that the service are going to be marked by a Play Anywhere icon in the digital store.
