And now something special. A game so bad that actually good, and was made available for free soon after its premiere and was added several times to gaming magazines thus it had some time to become somewhat iconic. Of course, it’s Dink Smallwood - a parody of a story about several squares who go from zeros to heroes.

The story shown in the game is a fantasy pastiche and at the same time, it draws numerous inspirations from this genre. Gameplay is simple and clumpy, the same as visuals. Players defeat monsters, interact with NPCs, solve riddles, and gather increasingly effective gear. The game features a certain dose of humour and general idyllic atmosphere. Despite its simplistic gameplay mechanics, the game can be quite engaging.

HOW WELL DID IT AGE?

Dink Smallwood aged neither well nor decorously, nonetheless, it’s a simple and clear game one can quite painlessly play for a laugh. This game is mostly recommended to those who have some good memories around it.
