StarCraft

Ladies and gentlemen, StarCraft - an iconic RTS that does not have to be introduced to anyone. A Korean national sport, one of the games lying at the foundation of modern e-sport, and a living legend. Players get to command units representing three different races - Terrans (humans), insect-like Zergs, as well as mysterious and technologically advanced Protos. Each faction is governed by different gameplay mechanics, however, the game basics are similar - build a base, fight for resources, and deploy an army that will crush the enemy.
Apart from the multiplayer, the game delivers a story divided into three fantastic single-player campaigns. the times when Blizzard did a good job with it? That was it. During consecutive missions, players familiarize with each one of the three races, get a chance to grow fond of the characters or at least to root for them. The story follows a dark, space-western formula, and it grows with the Brood War expansion. And all those goodies are available through the Battle.net launcher. Just sign up and start ing.
HOW WELL DID IT AGE?
Well, it practically didn’t. Many players prefer it to its continuation, even though the original was less comfortable to play. Still, the 2D visuals together with high resolution are still doing a great job and drum up the nostalgia, while the overall atmosphere is much better than the flashy StarCraft II. If you want, you can also invest in the Remastered version with higher resolution.
