In Sable, we don't fight anyone, we don't advance to the next levels, and the protagonist gets tired of climbing or sprinting relatively quickly. What distinguishes the game from the interactive comic book is basically the only possibility of finding collectibles, parts for a sand scooter and making small but significant dialogue choices.
Sable's graphics may not be to your liking right away. I had to struggle to agree with the simple line and specific animations (somewhat reminiscent of what we saw in Spider-Man: The Universe). But when I did, the journey through endless wastelands dotted with the remains of a fallen civilization or charming rock formations began to give me similar satisfaction as the adventure with Journey. There's no need to rush here. But in this case, inactivity becomes an advantage of the game. It's what distinguishes it from the competition.
Apart from that, in Sable, apart from the calming mechanics of travel, we also deal with a quite extensive narrative. As mentioned before, the choices of dialogue options do not affect anything. However, it's interesting to read not only what the title character says aloud, but also what she thinks. And what conclusions about herself she can make.
