During the conversation with investors, AMD's CEO Dr. Lisa Su said that the launch of next-gen consoles, i.e. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, should take place during the holiday season this year.

Some experts expect that the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic could delay the release of next-generation consoles - PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. According to the manufacturer of the most important components for both devices - AMD - such a situation will not happen and both platforms will appear on the market as planned, that is at the end of this year.
"We expect revenues from semi-custom products to increase in the second quarter, and especially in the second half of the year, as we will increase production to the launch of new consoles - PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X - during the holiday season," said AMD's CEO Dr. Lisa Su during a recent conversation with investors.
The reports are consistent with information from be more limited than was the case with PlayStation 4.
