Baby kidnapping in inZOI sparks a problem that is probably waiting to be patched up

inZOI clearly needed early access, as the game's devs have another worrisome problem to patch. Or even two.

Realism in inZOI may have accidentally gone a bit too far again when players started kidnapping babies in the game.

It's no secret that the complexity of modern games can result in bizarre bugs. The new life simulator proved this from the beginning, when players discovered a rather drastic bug related to children. The devs have already managed to fix this unusual glitch, but another unusual problem with virtual minors has come to light. Actually a few.

Fans have discovered not one, but many ways to "kidnap" ZOI - from infants to adults (via PC Gamer). First, you can simply invite yourself into the home of a computer-controlled resident to take the child without facing any consequences (with one condition: you must guide the character back home yourself). Second, the game allows you to force any independent character to get into the car, even a child playing near the school.

It should be noted that these bugs don't lead to the actual appropriation of characters. As they remain of the original household, so their stay in the player's house is treated as a visit. Exceptionally long, but still a visit (plus: players discovered ways for longer or more frequent "visits" to the abducted ZOIs; via The Gamer).

Bugs in early access shouldn't be surprising (especially when full releases are also full of them). Nonetheless, in a life sim - especially one that focuses on realism - such an issue can look more disturbing than in a typical action or RPG game.

Surely this error will be fixed, although it's not the only thing the developers are working on. The recent update has introduced immortal NPCs, and the game's development plans in Steam Early Access confirm both "short-term" changes and development based on player .
