More fixes hit inZOI, this time to reduce awkward interactions between ZOIs.
Since its early access release, the life sim from Krafton has already received a lot of updates. Some of them concerned funny/macabre bugs, which caused made the otherwise realistic NPCs look more terrifying in the game world.
Such improvements can also include a change from the version made available today, 20250422.2471.W. Apart from various bugs (like one where pregnancy was improperly handled in a full household), the most important change concerns displaying emotions during conversations between ZOIs.
As we read in the post by the developers from inZOI Studio, the characters may not have fully expressed the "main emotions" they were feeling at any given moment. Instead, the game took into their attitude towards the interlocutor and personality traits. Now, ZOIs are better at expressing their emotions through dialogues and behavior, which "limits awkward interactions that do not correspond to their emotional state."
Developers underlined that a side effect of this change may be more "intense" or even "aggressive" behaviors. In the future, the creators want to introduce systems that will help calm down such nervous characters.
Interactions related to karma were also changed. The frequency of choices and related interactions has been limited to avoid appearing in inappropriate situations, and the latter will also take into the emotional state of a ZOI.
- Baby kidnapping in inZOI sparks a problem that is probably waiting to be patched up
- Realistic life sim was eating its own tail, devs had to intervene. No more long sleep and funny difficulties with childbirth inZOI
- inZOI characters no longer look like they came from a nightmare. That's thanks to realistic shadows and lighting, which players have been asking for
