aren't slowing down. The latest patch, marked with the number v0.1.5, brings long-awaited visual changes and a lot of major gameplay improvements. The new update brings a shading system that finally makes characters look the way they were designed in the character creator.

Better than in Andromeda, but...

As part of the update, Korean developers introduced realistic shadows, they also allowed players to enable more detailed shadows option in the graphic settings. The result? The interiors have gained a more cinematic atmosphere, and the faces of our ZOI in unfavorable light no longer resemble creatures straight out of a horror movie.

It's no secret that the character's faces in inZOI sparked some controversy, as they looked much better in the creator than in the actual game. The devs itted that this was a response to the player's . However, they never reached the level known from the release version of Mass Effect: Andromeda...

Of course, the changes don't end there. Patch 0.1.5 also introduces some gameplay improvements and fixes many bugs.

What's new?

  1. The developers have improved the operation of the default camera in build mode and added a new free camera, which can be controlled using the WASD keys. Thanks to this, spatial planning should be much more convenient.
  2. Better light, better shadows, the new shadow system is more than just cosmetics: city lanterns cast realistic shadows at night (enabled by default). Some of the interior lamps also generate shadows (this option can be activated individually for each lamp in build mode). "Realistic shadows" have also been added, which improve the quality of details, albeit at the expense of performance. It's good that the developers left some room for maneuver - not every PC is a monster.
  3. Minor improvements were also made to the career mode (a bug blocking the third level of the "rabbit hole" job was fixed). The requirement to have an appropriate level of Karma when feeding animals has also been removed.
  4. The list of changes also includes minor interface fixes.

The new update is further proof that Krafon Studio is not just cashing in on the successful launch of the game in early access, but is actively developing their sim and carefully listening to the players.
