Leak Suggests PS VR 2 With 4K
A leak published by VR suggests that the new VR goggles from Sony will display images in 4K resolution. We will also get a lot of interesting features and improvements.

IN A NUTSHELL:
- PS VR 2 will offer a resolution of 4000 x 2040 (2000 x 2040 per eye);
- The device is expected to technologies that enable it to track our eyes and sharpen the image where we look;
- The goggles will also have a vibration function.
VR published an interesting information about the new VR goggles from Sony, which will work with the PlayStation 5 console - PS VR 2. It seems that the device will offer a resolution of 4000 x 2040 (2000 x 2040 pixels for each eye, about 8.16 million in total), which is slightly lower than the HP Reverb 2, but higher than the Oculus Quest 2.
Editors of the aforementioned website speculate that thanks to Eye-tracking and Foveated Rendering technologies (the first enables the device to track eye movement, while the second dynamically increases the resolution in the place where we focus our eyes at the moment), the image offered by PlayStation VR 2 will be much sharper than what we're used to from devices currently available on the market.
Eye tracking will also provide even greater levels of immersion, anabling us to animate our character's eyes in a virtual environment more concvincingly or throw objects with greater precision, for example. The gameplay experience will also be enhanced by vibrations - and not just on the new controllers but also the helmet itself..
The advantage of this device is also easy configuration - the device will not require external cameras, because the position of the controllers is to be tracked by sensors mounted on the helmet. Everything indicates that to start playing we only need to connect the goggles to the PS5 via a USB-C cable (the helmet unfortunately will not be wireless).
