The PlayStation 5 went on sale again and sold out in an instant. If you failed to buy a PS5 this time around, you were probably overtaken by scalpers and their bots.

- The PS5 went on sale again and sold out momentarily;
- On social media, scalper groups are bragging about the harvest and the purchase of several thousand units of the console.
According to Sony's earlier information, the next batch of PlayStation 5 consoles was supposed to hit stores in the second half of January. Retailers were given more time to prepare for the onslaught of scaplers, who are buying up everything to take advantage of the consoles' limited availability and selling them at much higher prices later on.
Also in the UK, as reported by VGC, retailers failed to keep scalpers in check. Store chain GAME sold out the entire PS5 shipment in less than ten minutes. Shortly after, a group using the Carnage bot boasted that they scooped up 2,000 consoles, often with 10 units or more per person. When asked about the situation, a store representative stated that all orders would be manually verified and if someone ordered more than one unit, the PS5 purchase would be canceled.
Console shortages and uneven distribution lead to interesting situations. In Japan, local PlayStation fans is crushing the PS5 in Japan, selling several times better.
