John Carpenter Presents Toxic Commando - Shooting Zombies as a Joke
A game called Toxic Commando, a dynamic FPS developed by John Carpenter, has been announced. Here is its first, slightly crazy trailer.
John Carpenter's new game was unveiled at Summer Game Fest 2023 - Toxic Commando. The announcement included a trailer and details on gameplay and storyline.
Toxic Commando will take players to the near future, in which a failed attempt to control the Earth's nuclear energy has led to the release of a nightmarish monstrosity that turns its surroundings and living creatures into undead beasts. However, there is still hope - the brilliant scientist who conducted the disastrous experiment has a rescue plan, but the mercenaries necessary to carry it out are too expensive. Instead of them, he hires the eponymous Toxic Commandos.
Players take on the role of this group of soldiers and are on a mission to defeat this monstrosity and its hordes. There will be different classes available to suit individual gameplay styles, a wide selection of vehicles and an arsenal of weapons and special skills. All this in an atmosphere of grotesque humor and cinematic action, typical of Carpenter's productions.
Toxic Commando will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, XONE and XSX/S. The release date has not yet been announced.
