Sony Wants More Games With Cross-play
Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, wants cross-play features in more games released on PlayStation consoles.

Axios conducted an interview with the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan. In it, the current head of the PlayStation brand itted that the company wants cross-play features in more of its console games. It also wants its policies on the matter to be "consistent" with the approach of other companies.
Ryan announced that SIE "s and encourages cross-play". He mentioned Borderlands 3 will receive for cross-platform cross-play, but not on Sony's consoles.
An additional counter-argument against the words of Jim Ryan are documents from the lawsuit between Epic Games and Apple, from which we learned that the Japanese company required developers to pay extra money for the implementation of this feature on the PS4.
Is something going to change then, or is this just a marketing ploy on the part of the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment? At the moment it's difficult to say - perhaps the company is really thinking about a different approach. In the next few months, we will certainly have many opportunities to this thesis.
It is also worth recalling that Sony ed the PSX brand with the US patent office.
