Kingdom Come 2 Brushes with Death: All DLC endings

How to get all the endings of the Brushes with Death DLC for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? Our guide discusses all the necessary steps to get the 2 main endings and what these endings look like. Additionally, we explain whether there are important choices in the DLC and whether you can continue playing after completing the DLC.

Are the DLC choices important?

1. While playing the Brushes with Death DLC, there are no important choices that could significantly change the further course of the DLC. This also applies to the Portrait in Red quest - the main plot will not change regardless of whether Burkhard is left alive or killed.
2. In selected quests, you will face smaller choices and they usually concern achieving the intended result in various ways, e.g. obtaining a quest item or convincing an NPC to your point of view. The end result will always be the same and you don't have to be very careful with your choices, because bad decisions will not lock you out of any further quests.

Choosing the ending

1. The Brushes with Death DLC offers 2 main endings and you can easily see them both within a single DLC playthrough. Start by performing all the main activities in the last main quest, Unveiling.
2. Save the game before speaking to Voyta at the end of the quest. The first part of the conversation is not important. The moment of choosing the ending is shown in the attached screenshot; you should see 4 different dialogue options on the screen.

Ending 1 - Voyta decides to finish working on his masterpiece

1. To see this ending, choose the dialogue option The devil isn't leading you, don't be afraid or Fine, do as you please, I don't care.
2. Voyta will resume work and hand over his finished work to the monks.

1. Here, you can additionally receive the quest item Painter's Muse from the artist.
2. You can return to the real Voyta's grave with the skull, dig up the grave and place the skull in it. This will be rewarded with an achievement. We discussed this variant in more detail in our walkthrough.

Ending 2 - Voyta is persuaded to destroy his own work

1. To see this ending, select the dialogue option Then don't finish it. Destroy it. Additionally, you have to a persuasion check to convince the painter about the drastic plan.
2. Voyta will cease further work and destroy his unfinished masterpiece.

Can you continue playing after finishing the DLC?

1. Regardless of the choice made, watching the ending will not end your playthrough for good. Depending on the ending you watched, you will either resume gameplay in Voyta's workshop or near a bonfire outside the city.
2. You can, for example, get back to the main content of the game. Voyta stays in the game world regardless of the ending and remains friendly towards Henry. You can visit his workshop in Kuttenberg or in the Trosky region and ask him to paint your shield.
