Assassins Creed Shadows: How to remove Wanted status?
The Wanted status for Naoe or Yasuke can make it difficult to travel the world. This ACShadows guide page tells you when enemies can start hunting the hero, as well as how to get rid of the regional alert and Wanted status.
How to remove Wanted status in AC Shadows? This is a problem that may unnecessarily increase the game's difficulty level. From our guide, you will learn why enemies started hunting a given protagonist, as well as how to remove the Wanted status and reset the Wanted level for a given province.
When can you receive the Wanted status?
- The Wanted status is associated with triggering alarms in enemy locations, especially in castles and large forts. It can be imposed on your hero if any of the enemies use an alarm bell.
- You can find the bells by scanning the area - it is always a small tower that the alerted enemy must climb. The bells are best eliminated using ranged weapons, for example, by throwing a shuriken at them. that the biggest enemy locations may have more than 1 alarm bell.
- If a bell was used, your character will receive the Wanted status - from that moment on, a red bar will be visible in the top section of the screen.
- The Wanted Status always applies to the region where the alarm was initiated - you can check this on the world map. The example from the picture shows the Harima province, where Naoe got a Wanted status. The status is always imposed on the hero who was detected in the restricted location.
The Wanted status comes with 2 problems:
- You may be attacked by regular guards encountered in a given province. This applies to all encounters, not just when you are entering a restricted area. This can greatly hinder exploration and completing quests in cities, because that's where most of the guards are.
- Guardians may start hunting you. These are elite and very resilient opponents, whose elimination in direct confrontation may be problematic. Guardians can track you and quickly appear in the locations you are currently visiting.
How to get rid of a pursuit and regional alarm?
There are several ways to deal with the Wanted status:
- Switching to the second playable character - For example, if Naoe is wanted in a certain province, you can continue to explore it as Yasuke, who will not be harassed by guards or guardians.
- Move to another province - The status applies only to the region where the alarm was triggered. You can engage in activities and quests available in other provinces.
- Using the scouts - This option is only available after upgrading the Kakurega buildingseparate guide page.
- Waiting for the season to change - This is a universal solution. After the change of the season, all alarms will be cleared and enemies will stop searching for you. You can read more about this on the page How to change the season?.
